Why worry? PT1

When we feel like things are out of our control we tend to worry and have so many awful thoughts and imagination. The truth is worrying never helps a situation get better. it rather sends a message to ourselves and people around us that we are helpless and have nowhere to turn to.

Worry is a tool the devil uses to shift our trust away from God, because when we worry it means we don't trust God enough to handle our problems and whatever situation that we're in. The devil stands by day and night to make sure he gives us something to worry about, as a matter of fact he is worried when we are not worried because not getting worried means we depend on God and he doesn't want that.

As God's children, we should believe He has everything in His control. If He really does, and we believe that, then why do we still worry? Worry is like a rocking chair, it's always in motion but never gets us anywhere. So rather than worry, why don't we humble ourselves and cast all our care on God, because He truly cares for us. If our way hasn't been working so far, why don't we try God's way? we would be better off if we learn to trust in God and ask for His help. But as long as we choose to trust ourselves without God , He will let us because He wouldn't take care of our worries until we hand them over to him .

Although this doesn't mean we should be irresponsible too, because God won't do it for you if you can do it yourself. You must do what you can do and then trust God to do what you cannot do. If ure to have an exam for instance, you shouldn't just commit it to God and not prepare for it. God wont help you prepare for your exams because it's something you ought to do yourself but God can give you success and favour and that is something you can't do yourself.
